At AllforDevelopment, we envision a world where young people can grow, become the best they can be and contribute to the development of society.
Since we started as an idea in 2009, we have been focused on supporting young people to contribute to development through education, lifelong learning, while promoting excellent leadership and governance.
Over the years, we have partnered individuals and institutions with similar mission to co-create programs, advocacy initiatives and trainings. Here are some of our interventions.
Digital Skills Initiative
The Digital Skills Initiative helps young people acquire basic digital skills required to thrive, build self-confidence, start a business and embrace opportunities provided by technology.
We advocate for better public policies for improving education, governance, and global citizenship. We believe that for development to be sustainable for the future of humanity, institutional change and better policies are important.
We hosted the African Regional Consultation on Global Education in Accra, Ghana, partnering the International Commission on Financing Global Education Opportunity. Thoughts and recommendations from stakeholders at the consultation became part of the Commission’s report titled “The Learning Generation: Investing in education for a changing world”.
Through Studership, an annual youth leadership academy, we engage, connect and equip emerging youth leaders for sustainable development while promoting integrity and value-based leadership.
The Community Engagement and Leadership [#ComeLead] programme is aimed at breeding responsible young leaders that will promote the virtues of peace, active citizenship within communities. The programme enables people to take an active role in solving the problems in their own communities. This is in line with our dedication to the Pan-African vision of “an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the international arena.”
Seminars and Trainings
Our periodic seminar series are meant to build capacity of young people around topical issues, while providing a sustainable environment for learning, collaboration, mentorship and relationship building.
